Wednesday 5th February

Thank you to Fr Neil for welcoming us into Church this morning for Mass with our Reception buddies.

Thank you to our brilliant readers Hazel, Harrison, Caoimhe, Ariam and Daniel F for being so clear and fluent.

Your teachers are proud of how you all sat, listened attentively and supported your little buddies throughout. You were great role models for them!

Tuesday 28th January-celebrating the Jubilee year of hope 2025

Mrs Rees led a whole school worship this afternoon so that all children in school could see the very special Jubilee logo and hear how special it is. We all had a photograph with it before it continues it's journey onto Christ the King tomorrow.

Remember this is the Jubilee year of HOPE. What can you do to keep hope alive in your homes?

Jubilee year of hope

As 2025 is the Jubilee year of Hope, we are being encouraged by the Pope to be 'Pilgrims of Hope'. We had a look at the logo which has been designed for this special time and thought about what we could see, what we thought and what we wondered. We took part in an online worship, led by Greg Phinn, created our very own class jars of hope and thought about the very tricky question of 'How do we hold onto hope in challenging times?'

Christmas Eve 2024

What a lovely Christmas Eve Mass! Thank you to the children that processed to the stable, taking one of the key figures to the crib and thank you to the children who had a reading too. It was lovely to see so many pupils (past and present!) there to celebrate this special time of year.

Wednesday 18th December 2024

We walked down to Mass this morning with our Reception buddies. We were great role models for how to behave and showed them what to do at each part of the Mass. We hope you can see us at the back!

Wednesday 4th December 2024

This evening, some children in our class continued their religious journey and celebrated their very special Sacrament of Confirmation. They had been preparing for this for many weeks, undertaking extra studies after school and at home too.

A special thank you to Fr Neil for being our celebrant on behalf of the Bishop this evening and to Miss Wharton for preparing the children for this special Sacrament.

Congratulations Peter, Harrison, Chidubem, Patryk, Daniel, Evana, Ariam, Emilia and Costina!!

Advent Preparation

Today we have been working on preparing ourselves for Advent! We have decorated our classroom, as well as made Advent promises together to remind us about this important time of year.

WC 2.12.24

This week, we began our preparation for Christmas and changed our cloths on our altars to purple for Advent.

We have our Advent wreath on our main class altar and we lit the first candle of hope.

Getting Ready for Confirmation

Our children have been learning about the Sacrament of Confirmation in the build up to their Sacrament. Some of our children have even gone away and done their own research into their saints.
